Hey mates, while the forum is down stop by the 501st legion forums and place your vote for Legion CO. Stop in the election forums and read the candidates statements, choose the one you feel will do the best job for our club.
www.501stforums.com
if you have any problems regestering please let me know and I will check into it. The forums will only allow you to register with the same email you have in the Legion database and your Legion id number.
Here are the stats on the 501st UKG registrations:
United Kingdom Garrison 4 Votes placed so far
47 % registered on the 501st forums
81 of 174 Active members in the UKG are registered
2% of Active Members have voted
5% of Reg. Members have voted
The Election poll is open until Feb 14th. Please choose your candidate and vote.
I am looking forward to seeing the results of your local election.

That's because the tight bastards use a free system, that is about as stable as frelling ker-plunk!!!!
You'd think with all the wonga we make, we'd have a decent system, but oh no, cheap is best!!!
Bollocks!!!
Yeah, yeah, the ukg is back on track, etc. MY ARSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! _________________

The hosting of the system isn't free, but it's simply that the hosting company have been doing upgrades without telling anyone before-hand (we are looking at moving it but we've been a bit bloody busy lately!!!!!)
All the costs for the website, the forum hosting, events server and bandwidth all come out of one or other of the staff's pockets, so let's not have too much criticism, it's been free to the members for about 6 years...pretty good value for money considering the amount of time people spend using it.
Other forums might appear to be more reliable, but take a look at how many members some of those forums have before comparing them...our database of posts is huge and we have nearly 800 members.
You could always switch the PC off for the weekend and go out of the house for a change _________________

Well I never knew that . How about setting up a system for members to contribute towards the cost. Spreading the cost around between us all seems much fairer and there are so many of us I doubt anyone would miss it. _________________ TK7209 - Chris Aldersey |
